We did an interview with the Amazing Jaye' Beckham who is our featured MUA for this week. During the interview he gave us some insight on the role he plays as a MUA in the industry, along with some beauty tips, and tricks you wouldn't want to pass up on. Without further ado Jaye ' Beckham.
First off tell the Muzer's who you are?
"Hello Muze world I am Jaye’ Beckham a Los Angeles based MUA/Influencer striving to make my mark in the beauty industry. I would consider my work to be ever-evolving as I’m always working towards bettering my craft and looking to create new trends. My work ranges from beauty and glam to editorial and SFX I have no limits when it comes to my art."
How long have you been in the make-up business?
"I’ve been dabbling in the beauty industry since the age of 17 but as far as branding myself in the industry I would say about 4 years"
What are some of your favorite brands to use?
"I love brands that are all inclusive and shows Diversity some of my favorites are NARS, Bobbi Brown, Fenty, & MAC"
What are some obstacles you face as a make-up artist?
"Well I wouldn't exactly consider this a obstacle personally for me because of the brands I do choose to support and use but I wish all brands were all inclusive, I mean I get that some brands have targeted audiences but does that mean thats where it has to stop? I can say its getting better but theres a lot More that can be done!"
Who are some of your inspirations?
"My inspirations are some of the greats such as Sam Fine, Pat McGrath, Romero Jennings, as well as some of the new generation such as Keita Moore, Mali Magic, & Mario Dedivanovic Just to name a few lol"
What drives you too do what you do?
"Firstly The passion and fire I have for all things beauty as well as the feeling of touching people’s lives by just simply doing what I love to do"
How does your craft change the lives of your clients?
"My craft changes the lives of my clients by helping them find or enhance they’re inner beauty as well as helping them feel confident I feel I offer a whole experience when you sit in my chair I actually interact with my clients and make sure they leave feeling like the best version of themselves"
What's one of the best make-up tips you can share?
"Take care of your skin always, find the right products for your skin type, and always prep your skin before applying your makeup...Flawless Makeup Starts with Flawless skin!"
How do you know when the face is beat to the gods.
"Every time my clients leave with that extra boost of confidence I know ive done my job and that face is beat for the gods!"
What is the hottest make-up trend this season.
"I think the hottest makeup trend this season is bold looks stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things
